I laughed softly, she was an open book, almost like she was doing it on purpose. It was so adorable.
"We will leave them some meat." I said softly. "I'm not worried, they will learn fast. I will have to get there once a night at first to give them milk, though.. that, they can't do by their own yet. They are supposed to send me everything we will need."
I smiled, and my smile slowly faded into a grin. "And I have a hammock already, my love. I love relaxing on those."
My mouth fell open when he said he had a hammock and loved to relax in them. "Wait...how...I thought...ah never mind. I forget that I don't close my mind off to you and that you can read it even if I had it closed. And that is fine about the cubs. As long as I may come with you when you bring the meat then that's all I have to say about that." I said to him.
Suddenly I heard a snapping noise and I literally jumped into Lestat's arms. It was a scary noise that I had never heard before. The noise happened over and over again and I was really freaking out. OH MY GOD what is that? I'm scared. Hold me. PLEASE HOLD ME!!!
I laughed softly, holding her in my arms. "Love, love, keep your calm..." I said in a whisper. "If you freak out like that, animals will feel it and become more agitated."
I kissed her forehead and listened carefully. Love... calm yourself. It's a bear and her babies. She will be violent if she feels you scared like that. It only walked in dried wood.
I looked at the forest. The babies were walking more carefully, almost making no sound. The mother seemed angry.
I calmed myself and moved behind him. I looked around him and saw the bears. They were cute and I really calmed myself down alot. I calmed my breathing and my heart. "DO you think the mother is angry because me?" I asked
"She felt your panic, she thought you were wanting to hurt them. Wait, I'll calm this down."
I slowly walked a little toward the mother, and smiled to her. "We won't hurt them..." I said in a soft voice. "You know me, ma belle, don't you? There.. Calm down, beauty."
She did a few steps toward me, almost running. I started at her. "I said calm. If you are even trying to hurt her, I won't accept it, understood?" I kept my calm, not even backing off, and showing her my hand. She moved slowly in front of me and scented it. "There. See? It's me. It's Lestat. She is a friend. She won't hurt your babies. I promise."
Pet her babies. I told her silently. Go slowly, don't look like you want to pick them up. Sit down on the ground as you do so. There is no worries, she won't hurt you.
I did as he instructed and the cubs came towards me. The cubs allowed me to pet them and they looked towards their mother as if to let her know that I wasn't hurting them. One of the cubs came back up to me and licked my face and I started to laugh. "I can't believe I was worrieda bout this. They are so cute." I said to Lestat who was still with the mother calming her down.
"You had reasons too. Usually, bears aren't social when their kids are around. But her.. She learned to be."
I smiled and petted softly the mother bear. She was now totally calmed. "Good girl..." I said softly. "Wanna see something special?" I asked to Tay. "Tell me.. I'll show you." I smiled to the mother once more, she licked my hand, or should I say the whole arm.
I remained calm but excitedly whispered "Yes I would love to know what it is you have to show me." I stood and the cubs went back to their mother and they walked off. I kissed him and smiled.
I kissed her back softly and smiled to her. "Ever seen baby bunnies?" I asked softly as I took her hand and started to walk with her. "Some here were just born.. A week ago. They are just starting to get out, and not often. They come out when I call to them with the mind gift."
After a few minutes of walking, I stopped under a tree and showed her a whole in the ground. "Wanna see them?"
I grinned excitedly and said, "Oh yes I would love to see them. I love bunnies. Hey you wouldn't happen to know where I can buy myself a Clydesdale horse now do you?"
I wanted to buy my favorite horse. I had one of my own when I was 19. His name was Princeton. I had him on my 16th birthday and I missed him dearly. I looked at Lestat with tears in my eyes not knowing that I had really missed my own animals.
"Oh, love..." I whispered. I kissed her cheek softly and wiped away her tears. "I can find one for you. This place is perfect for horse ridding. There is even another small house that is empty that could be used as a stable."
Before she could even answer, I grabbed my cell phone and composed again the same number. I knew it was starting to be very late for my poor helper, but he was very well paid, and not minding to wake up in the night. "Bonsoir, it is me again." I paused as he was half asleep on the phone. "Mmm. I was wondering something. Could you get me a Clydesdale horse, too? The most beautiful you can find. And everything that goes with it, of course. No, I don't mind about the price.. I know it's late, I am sorry. I will give you a big bonus if you can find me that... For tomorrow evening too, yes. You know I can't be there in the daylight... Yes. Yes that is perfect. Thank you."
I closed the cellphone and smiled. "No worries, he knows what I am. That man won't freak out." I laughed softly and looked at the hole. Come here, bunnies...
I stood there basically in awe as he purchased a clydesdale. "Lestat...I was going to buy myself anotherone. But thank you anyways for buying me one. What will you ride?" I asked him.
I wasn't worried that the mysterious guy knew about Lestat being a Vampire. I trusted him. I waited paitently and then sat down on the ground and waited for the bunnies to come. I smiled up at him and took his hand into my own and pulled him down to the ground next to me. I was shocked that Lestat was spending so much money on me. I was beginning to wonder if he thought I was using him...in which I wasn't.
I smiled softly as she pulled me down to the ground, holding my hand. Oh, how I was willing to do anything for her! I softly took her hand to my lips and kissed it, then pointed the hole.
A big bunny came out, a black one, followed by many little babies. All different shades between black and white. They were so beautiful. I took the mother in my hand and put her on my lap as she moved her little nose, and I took out a treat for her, that I was keeping in my jacket.
"You will see what I will ride later..." I told her softly. "There is one wild horse on the island. Only one. Which is why I called to buy a new one. You'll have a female, by the way." I smiled softly.
