I nodded agreeing 100% with Lestat about the tiger cubs being dangerous. "Okay. I mean I was wondering how we would feed them by hand as they are cubs. Unless these cubs are hunting on their own as of now." I said to him.
I thought for a moment and then smiled at Lestat. He was admiring me and I loved it when he did so. But I loved it also when I admired him. Every inch of his body. I grinned at him. It would be wonderful if my darling had a hammock on the island so that we could relax together under the moonlight with each other in each others arms. I would also like to have a swing to swing in. But I don't want to bother him and ruin his paradise. Tay it belongs to him...let him do what he wants to do with his island.
I smiled softly and sat down in the coffin, stretching my legs slowly. "I wasn't scared. Louis just wasn't accepting to be an immortal, to drink from mortals.. He lived out of rats for years." I laughed as I jumped out of the coffin and closed the lid behind me. As she pulled me in her arms and kissed me, I kissed her back. How lovely she was this morning...
"Louis..." I whispered. "was hating to kill. I wasn't a very good maker either, I believe... It mostly all changed with Claudia."
I sighed softly. The room was starting to be too dark for me. "Let's get upstairs, shall we?" I said softly as I made sure that no candle was still burning.. I was careful, not wanting the island to catch in fire.
"What do you mean it all changed with Claudia?" I asked him as he put out the candles and we walked upstairs.
I thought about what Lestat said about Louis. "Do you think that Louis might have been turned too early or that he was just actually afraid to kill mortals?" I asked him hoping I wasn't pushing the wrong buttons.
"He shouldn't have been turned at all.." I said sadly. It was paining me to say those words, but it was true. Louis wasn't done for immortality, he was a brillant and passionate immortal, but I knew he was hating to be immortal. "Claudia have been his first mortal victim..."
I looked at him in disbelief. "Is that why there is such a bond between the two? They both don't seem to be made out for immortality. But I love them to death mind you. Wait...if Claudia was an innocent...did it drive Louis to insanity to have fed from her? What happened with him? I know that we're not supposed to feed from the innocent." I said to him.
I sighed softly and kissed her deeply. I wasn't sure if I wasn't wanting to talk about this, but I would answer to her. I slowly sat down on a couch. "Louis fed from her because he was pitying her. He was hungry, very hungry, and she was standing by the side of her mother, dead... Her father was probably dead too. She was alone in the world. He didn't think.. He just followed his instincs. He wasn't knowing that we shouldn't feed from innocents.. I hadn't told him. I told you.. I'm not the best maker..." I sighed deeply. "I came in while he was feeding from her, when he saw me, he ran away. I took her with me and changed her later, for him.. For.. for keeping him."
I sat next to him sensing his vibes and I nestled agaisnt him. "I'm sorry Lestat. I don't mean to ask you these questions. Especially about Louis and Claudia. It's just that...that..." I said trailing off.
I stood up and walked to the other side of the room trying to figure out exactly what it was I was trying to tell the man that I so desperately loved. That I wanted to know these things to get to know everyone better. To become apart of their lives as well. I thought to myself hoping that I closed my mind to him. I just didn't know how to tell him those words outloud.
"That...?" I whispered. "There is no worry. I told you, you can ask me whatever you want. I am just ashamed of being such a bad maker.."
I sighed a little. "I'm fine. Really." I forced a smile to her.
I looked back at him and smiled softly at him. "Don't be ashamed. I think you did wonderfully if you don't mind me asking. I mean look, you're teaching me things I didn't know. That I probably would never know if I hadn't met you a month or two ago whichever it is. My maker was a bad maker. If anyone should be ashamed it should be him. Not you. You yourself were young and still learning am I right?" I said to him.
I walked back over to him and sat next to him taking my hand and running it through his hair.
"Yes..." I whispered. "You are right." I shivered as she ran her hand in my hair. It was really having a soothing effect on me. I closed my eyes and smiled, this time more sincerely. "I was young. I should have been more careful. I.. had no maker either."
I smiled to her. "Have I ever told you that? My maker died after turning me."
