I kissed softly her forehead. "Love you ma belle." I told her softly. Then I took Damien's hand and smiled. "Shall we? There is a lot to show you tonight."
"Love you too my darling prince." I smiled and watched them walk off... Damien was all a glow with happiness. He'd made a new friend with me.
We both walked inside his house, and I closed the door behind us. "Now, show me where is your bathroom, and your bath stuff... Mmm. Come here, two seconds."
I pulled him closer to me without being as close as possible, and touched softly his cheeks and chin. "Freshly shaved. Bien. You got lucky. I forgot to think about the fact that you will stay exactly like this for eternity. Which means, if you had to shave, it would grow back every day." I sighed, then smiled.
I smiled at him, "I shaved before we met tonight. And I would be glad to show you my bathroom. Its in the master bedroom to the left. The bath stuff is lined along the tub wall."
I was lucky. Very lucky.
I softly kissed his jaw, then pulled away.
I started walking toward the room that was the master bedroom. "Isn't it the one you showed me earlier?" I said softly, smiling. I entered in. "yes, obviously, it is. You have such a pretty house. I like it."
I walked around, found the bath, and started pourring water in the tub, making sure it was warm enough.
I walked into the bathroom seeing the warm and inviting steam arise and I dropped the cloak and climbed into it as it was still running. "Ahh this is the life. Care to join me?" I said to him.
I smiled softly to him. "Did you notice how this warm water feels different from just two nights ago? Your senses are waking up, you can see colors that you weren't able to see as a mortal, you can feel things that seems so wonderful right now and that seemed so normal when you were mortal. Always remember those moments. They are priceless. The first days into immortality. The days when you learn, you discover. Everything will seem different."
I slowly took care my clothes. I knew my skin was stained of blood tears, those tears I cried over him that dried on my cheeks, that I tried to wipe away but dried on my hands. Once naked, I slowly climbed in the bath, behind him, and wrapped my arms around him.
"I'd love..." I whispered into his ear, "to ask you to promise me that you will never hate me. that you will never go away. But that would be lying to you. All immortals end up appart, this is how our life is." I sighed softly and kissed his neck, then took a sponge and the soap, rubbing them together until a nice foam formed itself on the sponge.
I started washing slowly his back with care and love. "You will start to hear everyone else's thoughts." I said softly. "You can learn to close yourself to them, so they won't become overwhelming."
I smiled as he wrapped his arms around me. "I promise I won't go anywhere, but like you said if it happens, it won't be too far from you, I hate being alone." I said turning to face him.
I wanted to just be with him for the moment. I had him already. Why would I want to lose him on down the road?
I noticed how much more beautiful the colors in my violin had gotten, and how my house was as beautiful as before. The water was different from before as he had said. "How do I close myself off from the world when I hear their thoughts? I thought earlier when we were talking to Tay, that I heard someone they'd kill someone if they didn't have their money, but I pushed it away thinking I was going insane." I said to him.
I smiled as he washed the rest of my body and washed my hair as well. I didn't have as much as he did. Being professional and in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, you had to keep it short like mine. "I saw that when we went out to the park earlier that you had sun glasses on. Might I ask what that is about?" I asked takign the sponge and soap and returning the favor for him.
I kissed softly his forehead, protectively. He was so beautiful in my arms, so new to this life and so curious. Touching the water, impressed to see it was different. It was too adorable.
"You are not alone, mon chéri." I told him softly. "Tay and I are here for you. We will be as long as you need us and want us to be. Don't worry."
I softly pourred water on his back and laughed. "Oh, I also thought I was going insane at first. With time, you will be able to tell the noise and thoughts to get away. You will learn to follow those you might need, as in particular for feeding. They are useful to try and find a good victim, someone that was actually deserving this death."
Feeling him starting to wash me too was delightful. I closed my eyes and smiled. "Sunglasses..." I whispered. I opened my eyes and looked directly into his eyes. "Look at my eyes. To they look human to you? They are glowing. Mortals would see it right away. They would know. and they must not."
"So I would have to wear sunglasses. Any particular shade?" I said washing him. Indeed his eyes did glow. Beautifully.
"Lestat...how come Louis isn't with you? I saw him through Tay's mind." I said to him.
I hoped that I hadn't caused pain in him by asking the question. I shivered a little and slid closer to my immortal love. I then said, "Will Tay get jealous of me and you?"
I shook my head. "You are still young. Your eyes are still .. well, looking more mortal than mines. You can wear some if you want. The shade is your choice. I have a little something for purple ones." I grinned at him and kissed him softly.
My face went darker when he said Louis's name. "We were together just not so long ago, but he needed time alone." I simply said. I smiled to him. "And she won't get jealous. I promise. She still have me. She knows I love her, as I love Louis, and as I love you."
I smiled at him, "I love you too. It's cold, shall we dress now?"
I sat up and then said, "I...can I stay with you during the day?"
I was scared. To tell the truth I didn't know what would come of me in the day time. My bottom lip began to quiver. Not from fixing to cry but because I was cold suddenly.
I slowly climbed out of the bath and picked him up in my arms as if he was as easy to lift as an empty box, then put him on the ground. "Now you need to get dressed." I said softly, rubbing his shoulders. "And yes, you can stay with me in the day. There is no problem."
I smiled at him and said, "Thank you. I've never slept in a coffin and I don't want to be scared when I wake up."
I went over to my closet and tried to find myself something to wear. Then I found the perfect out fit. I pulled out black flarish jeans, a see through black shirt, and a sports coat (sunday jacket for men) that had the sleeves ripped off of it. I changed into it and modeled it off for Lestat. "Well how do I look? With or wihtout the jacket."
