I laughed softly, she was an open book, almost like she was doing it on purpose. It was so adorable.
"We will leave them some meat." I said softly. "I'm not worried, they will learn fast. I will have to get there once a night at first to give them milk, though.. that, they can't do by their own yet. They are supposed to send me everything we will need."
I smiled, and my smile slowly faded into a grin. "And I have a hammock already, my love. I love relaxing on those."
My mouth fell open when he said he had a hammock and loved to relax in them. "Wait...how...I thought...ah never mind. I forget that I don't close my mind off to you and that you can read it even if I had it closed. And that is fine about the cubs. As long as I may come with you when you bring the meat then that's all I have to say about that." I said to him.
Suddenly I heard a snapping noise and I literally jumped into Lestat's arms. It was a scary noise that I had never heard before. The noise happened over and over again and I was really freaking out. OH MY GOD what is that? I'm scared. Hold me. PLEASE HOLD ME!!!
I laughed softly, holding her in my arms. "Love, love, keep your calm..." I said in a whisper. "If you freak out like that, animals will feel it and become more agitated."
I kissed her forehead and listened carefully. Love... calm yourself. It's a bear and her babies. She will be violent if she feels you scared like that. It only walked in dried wood.
I looked at the forest. The babies were walking more carefully, almost making no sound. The mother seemed angry.
I smiled at him and picked up a little white bunny and held her in my arms. "Shes so white. Almost as white as snow." I said to Lestat.
I grinned as the mother bunny tried to find the treat that Lestat had in his pocket. "Wow..shes hungry." I said to him.
I looked up. I could feel that it was almost time for the sun to rise. The whole night had been perfect and I was excited. "I can't wait to see your horse. Tell me Lestat. What will I name the new horse?"
I yawned a little. I didn't know how much longer we had til the sun rose...all I knew was that I was getting sleepy. I put the baby bunny back on the ground and smiled gently at lestat. Did he truely know how much I loved him?
I smiled and took out all the treats and throwed them softly in the hole. "There, beauties. Now it is time to go for me." I said softly as they all ran into the hole to get the treats, mother included. "They are so charming and adorable..." I whispered to myself. I slowly got up and helped Tay to get up. "He will be yours. So it is your choice, really, my love. Chose the name that you want."
I started walking toward the house, whistling ( sorry spelling ) softly. After a few minutes, a beautiful black horse ran toward me and I laughed softly, showing him my hand to stop him as he slowed down to stop beside us, rubbing his head against me, almost throwing me on the ground. "Big boy. Good boy." I said softly. "He is wild and hard to control. But he is so nice."
I smiled at the beautiful horse. I thought for a moment and then said, "Well I won't know what to name her until tomorrow comes."
I yawned again my eyes getting heavy. I shook it away and watched the horse and Lestat. "Will he hurt me if I try to touch him?" I asked
"Hey I didn't know that about Louis. What about you? Were you scared when you first did that?" I asked him. I got out of the coffin and allowed for Lestat to get up and stretch.
I looked at him and smiled. So we were in the same clothes we had the night before...big deal...but I was mainly excited to be getting my animals. I walked over to Lestat and pulled him into my embrace and kissed his lips and then licked behind his ear. Something I knew that drove him crazy. Really crazy.
I smiled softly and sat down in the coffin, stretching my legs slowly. "I wasn't scared. Louis just wasn't accepting to be an immortal, to drink from mortals.. He lived out of rats for years." I laughed as I jumped out of the coffin and closed the lid behind me. As she pulled me in her arms and kissed me, I kissed her back. How lovely she was this morning...
"Louis..." I whispered. "was hating to kill. I wasn't a very good maker either, I believe... It mostly all changed with Claudia."
I sighed softly. The room was starting to be too dark for me. "Let's get upstairs, shall we?" I said softly as I made sure that no candle was still burning.. I was careful, not wanting the island to catch in fire.
"What do you mean it all changed with Claudia?" I asked him as he put out the candles and we walked upstairs.
I thought about what Lestat said about Louis. "Do you think that Louis might have been turned too early or that he was just actually afraid to kill mortals?" I asked him hoping I wasn't pushing the wrong buttons.
I looked at him my eyes wide with shock. "You're maker died after turning you? How? What did you do to survive all this time if he didn't teach you what you needed to know. Tell me how this all happened. I don't even know the story of your turning. I only know things from Blood and Gold, The Vampire Armand, and Blood Canticle. Except I didn't read all the books I briefly skimmed over the pages." I said to him.
I wanted to know everything. I was suddenly interested in wanting to know about him more. "Please tell me what you want to tell me about when you were turned."
I smiled softly. "My maker was called Magnus. He kept me captive for long in his basement. Stole me away from Nicolas. Then he turned me, explained to me how I should hide from the fire and the sun, and drink from mortals, then jumped in the fire." I sighed softly, I was mad against him just to think about it. "Then when Nicolas saw me again, he guessed what happened and he was mad... because I was not able to stay around him very long... Lusting for him, craving for his blood. My first fledging was my own mother. Made her as she was dying and she wasn't wanting to die. I made Nicolas later." I smiled softly. "I learned everything by myself at first.. Marius showed me more later, but it was long after that. Marius showed me about the quick drink, about how I shouldn't feed from innocents..."
I shook my head. "My poor Nicolas..." I whispered more for myself.
I laughed and put Chubbles and Oz on the ground. They instantly took off behind Lestat. "Hey wait up babies." I said to the three of them. As we came upon the house I saw Beaute and Faust there as if waiting on us. Faust seemed to be enjoying Beaute's company. "Hey there Beaute." I said to her kissing her nose and running my hand down her neck.
She taller than me. At least by about a foot. I grinned and smiled at Faust. "Hey Faust. I see you found your playmate. Beautiful isn't she." I said to him gently.
Surprisingly enough he shook his head up and down to answer my question. "Wow. Didn't know he'd know what I was talking about."
"He is very bright." I said as I put down the box. "He understands more than we think. Don't you, Faust?" Again, he shook his head up and down, and I laughed. I took a deep breath and looked at Tay for a while. She was looking so beautiful and happy, it was unbelievable. I was so glad to see her radious like that.
"I'll be back, beloved ones." I said to her and the animals, and I ran off, too quickly for any to see me going, except for Tay.
I laughed at Lestat and said, "well what do you expect? COme here big tiger." I grabbed his shirt and pulled him to me into an embrace. Chubbles started to show some jealousy and climbed up my pants leg. I laughed when she got up to my waist and meowed at me. I had to break the kiss to get the cub and hold her in my arms.
"Well someone is jealous." I said to him.
I laughed softly and petted the little tiger, then kissed Tay lovingly on the lips. "She is right to be jealous, with someone as beautiful as you around, she is scared she might not have enough attention." I teased her. I smiled and took Oz in my arms. "There. Oh what a big boy..." I told him softly. "Let's go back in the basement. They are hungry. Oh, Faust? Show the island to your friend. You have food at the stable." I smiled and slowly walked in the house, down in the basement, and lighted the candles with the mind gift.
